Eva Dry EDV 1100 Electric Petite Dehumidifier Product Overview

Eva Dry is a dehumidifier company that specializes in small and mini dehumidifiers which includes the Eva Dry EDV 1100 Electric Petite Dehumidifier due to its small bucket size and overall compact design. This dehumidifier stacks up relatively well to the competition in terms of smaller dehumidifiers, but you should still realize that petite dehumidifiers are much less reliable than the larger sized. That being said, because you can literally save $150 dollars by purchasing a small dehumidifier like this one instead of the large full sized home dehumidifiers, it can definitely be worth it in certain cases

Price
The Eva Dry EDV 1100 Electric Petite Dehumidifier costs between $80-$100 if you purchase it in a physical retail store, but some online retailers are selling it for as low as $60. This makes this model incredibly well priced compared to the competition as a quality full sized dehumidifier costs roughly $250. At this price, you can buy multiple of Eva Dry's dehumidifier and place one in each room for the same cost as a full size dehumidifier. So depending on how you are ultimately going to be using this dehumidifier, it can really be a great buy in terms of price.

Noise Level
The additional nice part about picking up a small dehumidifier like this one is the fact that you get a much quieter dehumidifier. The larger dehumidifiers sound much like a full sized fan when they are running at maximum speed, but this dehumidifier will be less of a noise level than even a typical ceiling fan. This advantage makes this dehumidifier ideal for small and often used spaces including bathrooms and bedrooms.

Energy Consumption
An additional advantage of a small dehumidifier like this one is the fact that it uses much less energy to run. Because the large dehumidifiers will generally cost $10 a month or more added onto your electric bill depending on where you live when running full time, the fact that this one uses so much less energy is a huge plus. In addition, this model is energy start certified so you know that you are getting even more energy savings.

Quality
Unfortunately, the quality of this dehumidifier is not quite as good as its larger counter parts. That being said, you can still plan on getting about 3 years out of this dehumidifier. Because Eva Dry backs their products with a 3 year warranty, you can feel fairly assured that even if something goes wrong they will ship you a new replacement. However, you should still be aware that this is not a model that is going to last you 10 years like some of the ultra high quality dehumidifiers.

Dehumidification Power
Another disadvantage to the Eva Dry EDV1100 is that the dehumidification power is not quite as high as other models. That means that this dehumidifier really only has enough power to dehumidify one room. So if you are looking to dehumidify a family room, basement, or entire floor, this is probably not the model for you. However, if you are looking to dehumidify a smaller room such as a bathroom or bedroom then this is a good choice.

Overall
As long as you are picking up this model to save yourself money and with the intention of dehumidifying a smaller room, then this dehumidifier model is actually a very good buy. The low price point, the low noise level, and the energy efficiency are all great characteristics that make this dehumidifier ideal in these situations. However, just keep the disadvantages of less dehumidification power and lower quality in mind before picking up this model.

Rating: 4 out of 5 when used for intended purpose
